What this means for your pet

A Category B member is a qualified human physiotherapist who is currently completing their specialist training in animal physiotherapy. They are supervised and in the process of gaining their full animal therapy qualification.

About this accreditation

Category B members are Chartered Physiotherapists currently enrolled on an ACPAT-approved postgraduate veterinary physiotherapy programme. This is the student/training tier. On completion of the second year of study, Category B members can upgrade to Category A.

Who can hold this accreditation

Must be a Chartered Physiotherapist enrolled on an ACPAT-approved postgraduate veterinary physiotherapy programme.

Yes — legally required under the Veterinary Surgeons (Exemptions) Order 2015.
