What this means for your pet

A Category 1 NAVP member holds at least a full honours degree in veterinary physiotherapy and has demonstrated additional experience and competence. One of the higher minimum qualification bars among animal physiotherapy bodies.

About this accreditation

NAVP represents veterinary physiotherapists who hold a minimum BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Physiotherapy. Unlike ACPAT, NAVP members trained directly in veterinary physiotherapy at degree level. Category 1 is the fully established tier, requiring additional experience beyond initial qualification.

Who can hold this accreditation

Must hold a minimum BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Physiotherapy from a university-validated course, plus have met additional criteria demonstrating advanced professional standing.
