What this means for your pet

All BAHVS members are fully qualified vets who can provide conventional care as well as homeopathic treatment. However, the RCVS has stated that homeopathy lacks a recognised evidence base. Treatment should be offered alongside conventional options.

About this accreditation

BAHVS represents veterinary surgeons who practise homeopathy. Members are RCVS-registered vets with additional training in homeopathy, typically holding VetMFHom or VetFFHom from the Faculty of Homeopathy. Important: In November 2017, the RCVS stated that 'Homeopathy exists without a recognised body of evidence for its use' and expects it to be offered alongside, not instead of, evidence-based treatments.

Who can hold this accreditation
