EMMETT Technique Practitioner

Est. 2007 (internationally launched)

What this means for your pet

A structured, assessed training programme in a gentle, non-invasive technique. Level 5 Ofqual recognition via CHP. Small UK presence for animal work.

About this accreditation

A light-touch muscle release therapy using specific combinations of light finger pressure to create a neurological response that releases muscle tension. The 5-level practitioner course with Module 6 assessment takes approximately 10-12 months. Recognised by IAAT and accredited by CHP.

Who can hold this accreditation

Must complete 5 course levels and pass a written and practical assessment at Module 6 Review. No specific prior qualifications in animal therapy mandated.

Referral requirement

The legal position is nuanced — light-touch therapies don't clearly fall under 'manipulative therapy' in the Exemptions Order. Most responsible practitioners seek veterinary consent.
